Export regions

Tonka beans are the seeds of a South American tree. Long and brown, they develop a wrinkled surface as they dry. Their fragrance recalls sweet hay and vanilla.

The seed is taken from the stone inside the fruit and prepared for keeping. Its dark appearance gives little indication of its scent: opening a lot and handling a bean makes its appeal much clearer than looking at it from across the counter.
