Export regions

Coriander is shipped as small, round, ridged fruits, pale in colour once dried. Their scent is quite different from that of the fresh herb. These dried fruits are what merchants commonly sell as coriander seed.

They flavour confectionery, drinks and aromatic preparations, including some beers and cordials. After flowering, the plant sets fruit; the crop is harvested and dried for storage. Crushing a few seeds gives a buyer a better sense of their fragrance than appearance alone.
