Export regions

Lemongrass is an aromatic grass with long, narrow leaves that smell of lemon when bruised. The cargo consists of the fragrant plant itself, rather than citrus fruit or scented resin.

The leaves are cut from large clumps at harvest and used to scent preparations. They gradually lose their freshness after cutting. Rubbing a leaf between the fingers releases its scent, helping a buyer judge how much aroma the lot still holds.
